SECL signs two MoUs for Healthcare and Education Infrastructure under CSR

South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) totaling Rs 75.13 lakh under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, aimed at strengthening healthcare services and upgrading educational infrastructure in Bilaspur.

The MoUs were signed today on 20.09.2025 in the presence of Director (HR) Biranchi Das at SECL HQ.

The first MoU was signed with Ramakrishna Mission, Bilaspur for providing financial assistance of Rs 61.96 lakh towards the “Maa Sarada Charitable Dispensary.” The support will enable procurement of equipment for dental, physiotherapy, eye care, pathology, and OPD facilities, benefitting people from underprivileged rural and slum areas of Bilaspur and nearby villages.

The second MoU was signed with Government E. Raghvendra Rao PG Science College, Bilaspur for providing financial assistance of Rs 13.17 lakh. The funding will be utilized for upgradation of the M.Sc. Physics classroom and laboratory facilities, helping create better academic and research opportunities for students.

Also present on the occasion were C M Verma, GM (CSR), senior officers from the CSR Department, along with representatives from Ramakrishna Mission and Government E. Raghvendra Rao PG Science College, Bilaspur.
