Chhattisgarh-based Coal India arm celebrates 41st Foundation Day with pomp

South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), the Chhattisgarh-based arm of Coal India Limited (CIL), celebrated its 41st foundation day with pomp.

Chief Guest, and Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of SECL Harish Duhan hoisted the flag in the auditorium located at SECL headquarters and laid wreaths on the martyr’s memorial and miner’s statue in the presence of the board of directors, various heads of departments, officers-employees.

Addressing the gathering, Duhan said, “Since its inception in 1985, SECL has been a strong pillar of energy security of the country and this role will continue to grow stronger. SECL’s legacy is full of record-breaking achievements and we aim to make SECL the No. 1 Coal Company of the country once again.”

The CMD said he was confident that the SECL team had the ability to overcome any challenge. “For us, safe mining, sustainable development and welfare of Koyalanchal family is not only a center of energy production, but also a leading organization in building a green and self-reliant India,” Duhan added.

At the beginning of the programme, lamp-lighting was done by the chief guest and all the guests on the stage. Special guests along with the Chief Guest, SECL Steering Committee, Welfare Committee, Security Committee, SISTA, Council and office bearers of OBC Association were felicitated with shawls, shrifal and flowers in the program. went

On this occasion, prizes were distributed to the winners in various categories by the Chief Guest, Special Guests and members of the SECL Steering Committee.

The welcome address was given by CDN Singh, General Manager (Finance). A short film on SECL was screened and the new website of SECL was unveiled by the chief guest.
