Team News Riveting

Even as the rift amidst the allies of the Maha Vikas Aghadi in Maharashtra widens in the backdrop of Antilia Bomb threat case and the subsequent corruption allegations against state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, whom Shiv Sena now wants to forsake.

Shiv Sena, which heads the alliance, has taken to Saamana to claim that Anil Deshmukh got Home Minister’s post by accident. The party added that Deshmukh got the much-vaunted post of Home Minister only because senior NCP leaders Jayant Patil and Dileep Walse Patil had refused to accept it.

The article in the mouthpiece of the ruling party is an overt signal that Shiv Sena is washing its hands off the mess and trying to put the ball in the court of Sharad Pawar. The paper claimed that it was Sharad Pawar who recommended appointing Deshmukh when others refused.

Meanwhile, the divers of National Investigating Agency (NIA) recovered computer CPUs, two number plates carrying the same registration number, and other items from Mithi river in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex as the agency probes the death of Mansukh Hiren. Accused Sachin Waze is also present at the spot.

Waze, Assistant Police Inspector in the Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) was arrested in connection with the investigation into the recovery of explosives from a car parked near Antilia, the residence of Mukesh Ambani in Mumbai on February 25.

Hiran, the owner of the vehicle that was found containing explosives outside the house of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, was found dead in a creek on March 5 in Thane.
