Mumbai, April 23
A delegation of top officials of Sri Lanka’s largest diversified industrial groups Lalan Group on Wednesday called on Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai in Mumbai.
According to officials, many leading players in the textile industry have expressed interest to invest in Chhattisgarh at the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) 5th FAB show underway in Mumbai. Sai along with top officials of the state government attended the show.

Dilip Parikh, a senior executive of Sri Lanka’s largest diversified industrial groups Lalan Group, met Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and informed that the Group is active in the fields of plantation, rubber products, construction, logistics, packaging engineering and hospitality services. The group’s expertise and multi-sectoral capabilities match the resource-rich environment and industry-promoting policies of Chhattisgarh, Parikh said.
The officials said Parikh praised Chhattisgarh’s new industrial policy and showed interest in setting up yarn and textile manufacturing units in the state. He informed that facilities like 24-hour shift arrangement for workers, online clearance, and time-bound services by the state are attracting investors.
Sai welcomed the group’s initiative and assured all possible cooperation, which will give new energy to the textile sector in Chhattisgarh.
