Shatrughan Sinha bats for Tejashwi

Bollywood star turned former union minister Shatrughan Sinha on Tuesday described the Grand Alliance chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Prasad Yadav as CM in waiting.

Talking to media persons after casting his vote at St Severein School polling center near his Kadamkuan residence,Shatru said people of Bihar have made up their mind to make Tejashwi the next CM of Bihar.

Shatru reached the polling booth with his son and Congress candidate from Bankipore,Luv Sinha to cast vote said youths of Bihar were behind the mass support of Tejashwi and the young brigade led by Luv Sinha.People wanted a change and ensured leadership was handed over to youths.

Shatrughan Sinha feared manipulations in the EVMs and asked the party workers to maintain vigilance till the counting day.

Former chief minister and mother of Tejashwi Rabri Devi who exercised her voting right at Bihar Veterinary College booth said people of Bihar have already blessed Tejashwi.There is a wave of Change.Rabri said” Tejashwi was young,but he has support of the experienced people”.He would prove to be an able chief minister,said the former CM

Tejaswhi said like the first phase,people would support Grand Alliance in the second phase too.People have already decided to change the government.They have developed “hatred” for Nitish Kumar.Mother and son duo voted at booth number 160 which is the traditional polling booth of Lalu family since 1977.Lalu’s younger brother who stays in a quarter of the grade IV staff also voted .

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar went to the Raj Bhawan School polling booth across CM’s bungalow.He did not talk to the waiting media persons,but said people should vote in large numbers.

Governor.Fagu Chauhan voted in the same school at 7 am.LJP president,Chirag Paswan and his brother MP,Prince Raj went to their village home at Alauli in Khagaria to vote.
Polling was poor in Patna and other urban centres,including Bhagalpur and Muzaffarpur.In almost all booths in Patna,except for the VIP booths,social distancing and guidelines of the Election Commission were not followed.Even the polling staff were not see wearing masks or face covers.Lighting arrangements in the cabin where EVMs were installed was quite poor which disabled people to see properly the names of the candidates and symbols.
In the rural polling booths too,social distancing was not maintained .None of the voters were supplied masks or sanitizers in the booths.Evcen the presiding and polling officers did not maintain social distancing due to space crunch in the small rooms of the schools,where booths were opened.
Till 5 pm,51.5  per cent  ;polling was recorded in the second phase in 94 constituencies.
