Former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who fled the country amidst deteriorating law and order situation posing life threat to her, went for a shopping at a complex in Ghaziabad.
According to reports, Sheikh Hasina, along with her sister Rihanna, bought clothes and other essential items from the shopping complex of Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad on Wednesday. According to sources, she made purchases worth about Rs 30,000 and paid in Indian rupees.
However, the report has not been officially confirmed. She is staying in the safe house of Hindon Airbase soon after landing in India. Sources said she might soon be shift from here to another place as the former Prime Minister was yet to decide in which country, she would take political asylum.
Moments before the ugly mob ransacked Hasina’s resident, she fled the country and could not bring much luggage with her. She could carry some suitcases and bags with her as she got only 45 minutes to pack the luggage.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Hasina’s son said Bangaladesh would meet same fate as Pakistan’s if law and order was not restored. He said “Hindus & Awami leaders are being attacked. My mother worked tirelessly to protect the country from terrorists.”
