Shirish Nalgundwar was re-elected as the General Secretary of UCO Bank Employees Union Chhattisgarh at the fourth convention held here on Sunday.
A new executive committee was also formed; the tenure of which would be three years. The new committee headed by General Secretary Shirish Nalgundwar was also constituted during the convention.
D Naresh Kumar has been anointed as President, Ashok Nagrale as Chairman, Sudhir Mishra as the Deputy Chairman, N S Soni, Faizan Akhtar, Awadhesh Singh, Sushil Kerketta as Vice President and Roman Jeet Sahu as Deputy General Secretary. Shankar Bande has been appointed as Treasurer, Shyam Yadav as Organization Secretary, Kanhaiya Sharma as the Office Secretary.
Along with this, seven secretaries were also elected. Mrs. Kanchan Sahu was appointed as the convenor of the women’s organization along with other women colleagues in the committee. A working committee was also formed in which the members were selected.
Vijayan, President of All India UCO Bank Employees Federation, graced the occasion as the chief guest. The other dignitaries present on the occasion include C M Patel, General Secretary All India UCO Bank Employees Federation, Smt. Vijayal, Vice President All India UCO Bank Employees Federation, Mrs. Lucky Nayak, Deputy General Manager UCO Bank Zonal Office Raipur, Lallu Lal Jain, Chairman UCO Bank Employees Union Madhya Pradesh, S K Mukherjee, Convener, United Forum of Bank Union, Ravi Agarwal, Director, UCO Bank Board, Rajendra Singh Gill, Secretary General, UCO Bank AIBOA and V K Nimani, Vice President, CGBEA.
General Secretary Shirish Nalgundwar thanked all the colleagues for their cooperation and support.
The UCO Bank Employees Union Chhattisgarh gifted two laptops to the Raipur branch of the National Association for the Blind to mark the completion of 60 years of the union (on March 16, 2023). The move was part of the union’s service to the society. Dr Rakesh Kamran, Secretary of the Raipur branch of the National Association for the Blind briefed about the activities of the organisation and said it was taking care of 114 girls.
The two laptops they have received are very important for the education of the girls and will become a partner in the development of knowledge, Dr Kamran added.
