The tenure of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal will come to an end on May 30.

Various political parties including Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress in alliance with left parties are making preparations for the West Bengal Assembly election 2021. The upcoming Assembly elections in West Bengal are slated to take place in 2021 for 294 seats.

If the last Lok Sabha election results are taken into account, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had performed well and consolidated its vote bank in Bengal. The party is all set to give a decisive challenge to Mamata Banerjee’s party in the ensuing elections.

The move of Shiv Sena seems to be aimed to divide the saffron supporters who are posing a big challenge to the Trinamool Congress.
