Mumbai, June 26
Shiv Sena seems to be in no mood to learn a lesson as its outspoken spokesperson and Member of Parliament Sanjay Raut passed another derogatory remark by terming the rebels lawmakers as living corpses.
Raut continues to issue threats to dissident party MLAs led by Eknath Shinde currently staying in Guwahati. In a sensational and disturbing comment, he has threatened that the death bodies of the rebel MLAs will return to Mumbai. Speaking at the ‘Shiv Sena Melava’ (party gathering) of workers at Sahisar in Mumbai, Raut went up to say, “40 bodies will arrive from Guwahati and they will be directly sent for post-mortem in the Assembly,” in a remark directed at the rebel Sena MLAs.
Meanwhile, one more Shiv Sena MLA Uday Samant flew by a private jet to join the rebel group in Guwahati. The new development has taken the total number of rebels to 39, two more than two-third of the party’s strength in the Maharashtra legislative Assembly.
Samant, the “eight minister” to shift allegiance, is said to be close to Aaditya Thackeray, son of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, who today warned the “traitors” that the road from Mumbai airport to Vidhan Bhavan goes via Worli- the Shiv Sena bastion represented by him.
Thackeray and Shinde camps are now getting ready for legal battle as Maharashtra political imbroglio enters sixth day on Sunday.
