Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met Dashmat Rawat and washes his feet at Chief Minister House in Bhopal on Thursday.
In a viral video from Sidhi, accused Pravesh Shukla was seen urinating on Rawat. The video outraged the viewers. Soon after coming to his notice, Chouhan directed the police officials in Sidhi to take stringent action against the person.
The police nabbed Shukla on Tuesday night itself. A case was registered against him under sections 294, 504 of the Indian Penal Code and SC/ST Act. Besides, action against the stringent National Security Act (NSA) was also initiated.
The illegally structure owned by Shukla was also demolished by the authorities.
Pained with the incident, Chouhan expressed his desire to meet the victim. On Thursday, Rawat reached the Chief Minister House where Chouhan himself received him and took him inside the house.
Later, he washed his feet and felicitated him. The Chief Minister tweeted, “…I was pained to see that video. I apologise to you. People are like a God to me….”
