Subodh Kumar Singh appointed as Principal Secretary to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister

The 1997-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, Subodh Kumar Singh has been appointed as Principal Secretary to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.

Singh, who belonged to Chhattisgarh cadre, had been on central deputation since 2029. He was serving as the Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor with the Ministry of Steel.

The Chhattisgarh government had requested for his repatriation that Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved on Tuesday. Singh returned to his parent cadre on Friday and gave the joining.

Later in the evening, the state government issued the order appointing Singh as the Principal Secretary to the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister.

During the tenure of Dr Raman Singh, Subodh Singh has served in the Chief Secretariat besides holding many crucial departments.

He is an Electrical Engineering Graduate from IIT Roorkee. He also holds a master degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Roorkee and a master degree in Business Administration from IGNOU.
