The prestigious Suresh Agrawal Memorial Cricket Tournament, a limited over Cricket Tournament for the Corporate, will start from the 1st week of December.
The tournament under the aegis of Hira Group Sports and Cultural Association will be held at the Hira Group Sports Ground, Opposite Ram Vatika, Near Urja Park, VIP Road, Raipur. In all, 32 teams will be participating in the tournament.
The Association regretted that due to the pandemic situation of COVID-19, the tournament could not be conducted during 2020-21. But this year the Tournament strikes back and will be played on a knockout basis, for which, all 32 teams have been divided into 8 groups. Total number of 63 matches will be played to decide the winner and runner-up of the tournament. Out of these matches, league matches will be of 12 overs, pre-quarter and quarter final matches will be of 15 overs and the semi-final and final will be of 20 over match.
The winner team and runners up will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs 1,51,000 and 75,000 respectively. Besides, there are a number of trophies and cash awards for the winner and runner ups, semi-finalists and best players in each category as well as for the Man of the Tournament.
Two matches will be played on the very first day while the remaining tournament will witness 4 matches each day.
