Jamshedpur, December 21
A new road connecting Sakchi with Bistupur and Kadma was inaugurated today and opened for traffic movement, adding another milestone for Tata Steel’s commitment to provide quality infrastructure for the citizens of Jamshedpur.
The road, christened New Arun Road, is a one way thoroughfare, 8-metre wide with 1.5-meter pathway for pedestrians. The road is 360-meter long and is illuminated with street lights besides road markings and traffic signage’s. Tree plantation on both sides of road is being done to make the area greener.
The new road was inaugurated by D Prasad, Chief Projects Tata Steel, Rituraj Sinha, Chief Corporate Administration Tata Steel in the presence of Rajiv Kumar, Chief Town Infrastructure & Logistics. The programme was attended by other officials and employees of Tata Steel.
