Chief Minister inaugurates tourism cafe for tourists at Mata Kaushalya Dham

The three-day Mata Kaushalya Mahotsav, with the theme “Women Empowerment”, concluded in the presence of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel at Chandkhuri on Monday.
Renowned artists from Chhattisgarh and other parts of the country showcased cultural performances throughout the event, which was filled with faith and devotion.
The grand celebrations of Mata Kaushalya Mahotsav commenced on Saturday. Renowned classical singer Maithili Thakur will present her devotional songs and bhajans at Mata Kaushalya Dham in Chandkhuri on the second day of the festival today. With her melodious voice and soulful renditions, Maithili Thakur from Bihar has become a sensation among the youth of India, captivating audiences with her musical prowess and evoking a sense of spiritual devotion with her bhajans and devotional songs.
On Republic Day earlier this year, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had announced the celebration of Mata Kaushalya Mahotsav in the state, aiming to promote art, culture, and tourism, support women’s empowerment, protect active folk artists, and promote and support existing art groups. The Mahotsav marks the glory of Mata Kaushalya’s birthplace Chandkhuri at a global level.
Tourist cafe inaugurated
In line with this, the tourism department established a tourist cafe on the temple premises, which was inaugurated by the Chief Minister during the event. The cafe will offer millet-based products and Chhattisgarhi cuisine, providing devotees and tourists alike with a taste of local cuisine.
Stalls by SHGs reflected Chhattisgarh’s culture
Furthermore, nine stalls were set up for the sale of products produced by women’s self-help groups, providing a glimpse of Chhattisgarh’s culture and reflecting the Chief Minister’s aim to empower women.
