TRF Limited (formerly known as Tata Robins Fraser Limited) celebrated its 60 years of incorporation.
To mark the occasion, a function was organized on Monday in the Company premises which were attended by all employees, Union Officials and ex-employees of the Company.
Speaking on the occasion, Avneesh Gupta, Vice President (TQM and E&P), Tata Steel Limited congratulated TRF for completing 60 years. He said that TRF can take significant part in India’s growth story in infrastructure and engineering projects for which there is enough scope in the eco-system. He appreciated innovative work done by TRF engineers.
Gupta observed that improvements can be brought about either through buying technology or through unlocking the infinite potential of employees which is more important for an organization. He felt that we should continue to strengthen our focus on bringing improvements through quality circles, small group activity, TQM and people engagement.
Rakeshwar Pandey, President, Tata Steel Labor Union, who was the Guest-of-Honor on the occasion, stated that it is a historic moment for TRF. He stressed on maintaining highest level of quality and no compromise on safety.
Umesh Kumar Singh, Managing Director of the Company appreciated the dedication and hard work of everyone associated with the Company who achieved this milestone and congratulated the employees as the Company marks its Diamond Jubilee, wishing them all the success. He mentioned about some challenges ahead e.g. skill up gradation, and productivity enhancement. He stressed on maintaining highest level of safety and ethical standards.
Few of the ex-employees of the Company also shared their experiences on this occasion. A handbook to maintain TRF’s Equipment and Coal Handling Plant (CHP) was released by the dignitaries. Those employees who had completed more than 40 years of service in the Company were presented Long Service Award.
The function ended with a Vote-of-thanks by M H Hiramanek, General Secretary, TRF Labour Union.
A series of sports and cultural events are being planned over a period of next few months to mark the Diamond Jubilee Year.
