Two drunk passengers of late Sunday night Indigo flight from New Delhi to Patna were arrested on complaints filed by the airlines manager.
The two were travelling on indigo flight 6E 6383. Officer-in- charge of Airport police station Binod Peter said here on Monday morning that the two young passengers, identified as Rohit Kumar and Nitish Kumar, who are from Hajipur in Vaishali district, were found heavily drunk condition.
The CISF at the JP International airport handed them to the police station.
The flight attendants of indigo in their complaint with police have alleged that the two passengers had misbehaved with the crew members on boarding the flight and also disturbed co-passengers.
As soon as the flight landed here, Indigo staff handed them to CISF jawans who in turn sent them to the Airport police station.
Police officer said the two youths were found heavily drunk when breath analyzer test was done. On Monday morning, they were taken to government hospital for RTPCR test and later forwarded to special excise court.
There is total liquor prohibition in Bihar since April, 2016 and notices advising people against carrying liquor or consumption is displayed both at entrance and exit points of Airport.
Since liquor is not served on domestic flights, police here believed the passengers had consumed liquor before boarding the flight at Indira Gandhi international airport.
