Two minor boys kidnapped from Assam found in Vaishali, Bihar

Kidnaping for ransom which was common in the 90s has started again in Bihar and in the last two days, four cases of kidnapping for ransom had been registered.

Two minor children who were kidnapped in Assam on March 11 were recovered by the police at Mahuva in Vaishali district, 40 km north from here on Saturday noon.

In another case, son of a doctor at Muzaffarpur who was kidnapped from outside his house on Friday evening was recovered at Ara in Bhojpur district today. Kidnappers had demanded Rs 30 lakhs from his father. Police claimed they have arrested three people from Bhojpur.

However, a class sixth student, Tushar Kumar, son of a school teacher, Raj Kumar Pandit of Kanhauli village in Patna district who was kidnapped from Bihta on Friday is still traceless. His father told the police, kidnappers have demanded Rs 40 lakhs ransom for his release. Police said ransom demand was made through a Whatsapp message.

In Bettiah, two girls who were going to the market with their mother were kidnapped on Friday by  three kidnappers who came on a Scorpio. They were abducted in broad daylight in the busy market.

According to the Crime Records Bureau, Bihar stands fourth in the number of kidnapping for ransom cases in the country .Last year, state had registered 10205 cases of kidnapping.
