With a month completed after Russia launched a full-scale war on Ukraine, the latter today claimed that nearly 15,800 Russian invaders were killed.
This was reported on Facebook by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russia’s total combat losses from February 24 to March 23 include nearly 15,800 personnel, 530 main battle tanks, 1,597 armored combat vehicles, 280 artillery units, 82 MLR systems, 47 air defense systems, 108 warplanes, 124 helicopters, 1,033 military vehicles, 4 vessels, 72 fuel tank trucks, 50 operational and tactical-level UAVs, and 16 units of special equipment, it added.
As reported earlier, the Ukrainian Navy destroyed a Russian large landing ship in the Black Sea port of Berdiansk.
Russian troops have killed 128 children in Ukraine since February 24, according to data provided by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office.
“As of the morning of March 24, 2022, 128 children were killed, 172 were injured. The largest number of victims has been recorded in Kyiv region – 64, Kharkiv region – 43, Donetsk region – 43, Chernihiv region – 32, Mykolaiv region – 24, Kyiv city – 16, Zhytomyr region – 15, Sumy region – 14, and Kherson region – 15,” the PGO’s press service wrote on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
Meanwhile, about four battalion tactical groups of the Belarusian Armed Forces are deployed near Ukraine’s border.
“As of 24:00 on March 23, Russian troops had not fulfilled the task of reaching the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, encircling the city of Kyiv and establishing control over the left bank of Ukraine. At the same time, the enemy does not abandon attempts to resume offensive operations to capture Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Mariupol,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.
