Union Minister of Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy embarks on 2-day visit to Chhattisgarh

Union Minister of Coal and Mines, G Kishan Reddy, is set to embark on a 2-day visit to Chhattisgarh from tommorow i.e 10 and 11 April 2025, marking a significant milestone in the state’s mining sector.

During his visit, Reddy will review operations at the world’s second-largest coal mine and India’s largest mine, Gevra, under the South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL).

The Union Minister will also be interacting with stakeholders in the mining ecosystem including mineworkers who were instrumental in achieving the twin milestones of 1 billion tonnes of Coal production and dispatch. During his time there, he will recognise the efforts made by the Coal Mining family in achieving this historic milestone. 

Apart from this the Union Minister will meet with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai to discuss the roadmap for the mining sector and explore opportunities for growth and development.
