Vice President C P Radhakrishnan arrived in Raipur on Tuesday night and was accorded a warm reception at Swami Vivekananda Airport.
Governor Ramen Deka and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai received the Vice President and accorded a rousing welcome.
The Vice President will attend the valedictory function of Chhattisgarh’s Silver Jubilee as state marks 25 years of its coming into being from Madhya Pradesh. His arrival, officials said, symbolizes inspiration and renewed vigor for the state’s ongoing journey of progress and good governance.
Among those present to welcome the Vice President were Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, MLA Kiran Singh Deo, and several other public representatives and senior officials.
