Vinod Nair, an employee of Enforcement section of Town Services department of SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant has brought laurels to Bhilai.
He has been nominated as a Referee to conduct Prime Volleyball League being held at Hyderabad from February 05th to February 27th, 2022. Nair has served as an NIS Coach and Referee in National as well as International matches.
Nair was bestowed with the ‘Veer Hanuman Singh award’ in 2014 by Chhattisgarh government for his contribution as an International referee. He has officiated in the Asian Qualification Tournament Final for 2014 World Women’s Championship at China. He has officiated in the 17th Asian Sr. Women’s Volleyball Championship at Thailand.
He was nominated as Technical Official in the 5th FIVB Men’s U-21 World Volleyball Championship at Pune (Maharashtra). He has officiated in the 1st and 2nd Match of Indo-Pak Men’s Volleyball test Series at Visakhapatnam. He has officiated in the 2nd Common Wealth Volleyball Championship (Men) at Kolkata and at the 6th Asian Youth Girls Volleyball Championship at Thailand. He was also nominated as a Technical Official in the 13th World Men’s U-21 Volleyball Championship at Visakhapatnam.
Vinod Nair in his illustrious Sports career has served as a Referee, Technical officer and Coach in over 20 Volleyball championships. Bhilai collective wishes him the best for his achievements.
