As part of the ongoing Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate India’s 75th year of Independence, “Bijli Utsav” was organised in the capital city of Chhattisgarh.
The theme was “Ujjwal Bharat, Ujjwal Bhavisya (bright Bharat, bright future).” The Ministry of Power and Chhattisgarh government’s energy department organised “Bijli Utsav” on Wednesday at Government Engineering College, located in Sejbahar. The event was celebrated with pomp and gaiety.
Pankaj Sharma, Chairman of Raipur District Co-Operative Bank graced the occasion as the Guest. He highlighted the various schemes of the government and the benefits to the common public.
The program saw the display of various films on the progress and development made in the power sector. The beneficiaries of the various schemes of the government were prominent present on the occasion. A “nukkad natak” on the theme of the various benefits of electricity in daily life was also staged.
Nodal Officers from the district administration, state-run CSPDCL and NTPC played a leading role in the success of the program organised under the overall guidance of District Collector Raipur.
