The Flag Foundation of India, headed by Naveen Jindal, a well-known industrialist and Chairman of Jindal Steel and Power (JSP), has launched a pledge campaign through its website to inculcate the spirit of patriotism in the minds of every countryman.
Chhattisgarh has started showing enthusiasm towards it. In this connection, JSP President Pradeep Tandon today met the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel and presented the national flag to him as a mark of respect.
Tandon briefed Baghel about the campaign and said Naveen Jindal, President of the Flag Foundation of India, had started a special campaign on the occasion of Independence Day, in which every citizen has to take an oath to serve the nation in honor of the national flag. For being the part of the process, people have to visit the website of Flag Foundation of India and click on a link, in which a certificate is also provided to the pledger after taking the oath.
Tandon also told the Chief Minister about the work and objectives of the Flag Foundation of India and requested the Chief Minister to take this campaign forward so that every citizen of the state gets involved in the holy mission of nation building by taking oath of national service. It is noteworthy that Naveen Jindal, President of the Flag Foundation of India, had fought a legal battle for almost a decade to bring the Tricolor to the masses. After the decision of the Supreme Court on January 23, 2004, the Flag Foundation of India is trying to take the tricolor to every home. The slogan of the Foundation is – Har Ghar Tiranga, Har Din Tiranga (Tricolor at every house and every day).
