Rohini, Shambhavi entry makes Bihar election interesting

Entry of two freshers in electoral politics makes the Lok Sabha election in Bihar interesting.

Ms Shambhavi Choudhary (25), daughter of senior minister Ashok Choudhary is the third generation politician who is making her debut as NDA candidate from Samastipur. 

Ms Rohini Acharya, one of the seven daughters of RJD president Lalu Prasad came from Singapore and named as party candidate from Saran from where Lalu was first elected to Lok Sabha in 1977.

Rohini faces the veteran BJP leader and former union minister, Rajiv Pratap Rudy who had earlier defeated her mother Rabri Devi also.

Shambhavi, a post graduate in Delhi School of Economics is married to Sayan, only son of the former IPS officer and trustee of Mahabir Mandir here. Her father is from a Dalit community and father in law is an upper caste Bhumihar 

She had been a good debator and had worked for a national English daily too. She will be challenging senior RJD leader Alok Kumar Mehta.

With entry of Rohini, now the Lalu family has half  a dozen members in politics. Rabri Devi is opposition leader in Vidhan Parishad, brother Tejashwi is leader of opposition in Assembly while another brother Tejpratap is MLA.

Her elder sister Misa is in Rajya Sabha. She will be contesting Lok Sabha election from.Patliputra.
