SAIL Chairman in Bhilai hospital

Chairman of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) Soma Mondal on Friday visited the hospital run by its Bhilai arm and inspected the arrangements.

Mondal is on a visit to Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), the entity of SAIL that has been in news for regular fire incidents. The visit of SAIL is also linked with the incident. A day before, Director (Technical) of SAIL A K Singh visited the plant and inspected various units.

The SAIL Chairman visited the sector-9 hospital of BSP today morning and visited different departments. The hospital management had made all necessary arrangements for her visit. Mondal also interacted with the patients and noted down the issues raised by them.

Interacting with the hospital management later, the SAIL Chairman enquired about the medicine stock and working. She directed the officials to ensure best care from the hospital without any negligence.

Mondal also visited the plant and inspected the different units besides enquiring about the incidents from the officials.

She will also be visiting Devbaloda, situated near Bhilai and 25 km from the Chhattisgarh capital. The village houses the historic Mahadev Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva that belongs to the Kalchuri Period. The temple is a protected monument under the Archaeological Survey of India.

SAIL is planning to adopt the village.
